Clark did the third year Creative Writing at Newcastle University way back in 1999. His teacher was the brilliant Paul Kavanagh. He got a distinction, something he never achieved in four years of chemical engineering.
Clark has run online classes for the Flying Islands Poetry Manuscript Workshop.
Clark was the judge of the poetry section for the Catchfire Press publication ‘Animal Encounters’.

He has also had poems published in every annual anthology of Poetry at the Pub in Newcastle, going back to the 1997 anthology Bohemian Rhapsody. He also has poems in Brew - Poetry at the Pub Newcastle retrospective anthology.
